The Don is pretty cunning. I'm hoping he will find a way around that.
The city council reminds me of a bunch of spoiled children. Well, since you wouldn't give us all the candy..... You can't be in the club anymore...... EVER! and well pass something to make sure you can't, but we just can't call it "no Don's allowed" and post it on city hall doors... so we'll name it something else...... So there! |

Hope maybe on the horizon, Mayor Don has signaled he may run again!
One major problem with that. The last council Williamson haters changed the rules on running for mayor and felons are no longer allowed to run. TheDon has a felony conviction. They couldn't throw him out once he was in office, but they made it so he couldn't run again once he was out.
This isn't true. The only qualification that the Charter requires is that the person running for office be an elector of the district they wish to represent.
In the State of Michigan once someone has served their sentence, they can again register to vote. |

Josh,
That was told to me by then President of Council Carolyn Sims. You mean to tell me that she lied to me? GEE, I guess I shouldn't be surprised. If you're correct, I apologize to everybody for misinformation. |
