Today is the 63rd anniversary of the end of WWII in Europe. take a moment to remember those that never came home.

I definately will. I also make it a point to thank every WW-2 veteran that I run into. There are not many of the greatest generation left.

I'm a little late to this thread.

Dave, you're a WWII buff? I am... check out my grandfather's WWII Army Air Corp Uniform from 1944. This was made by Brooks Brothers of New York in 1944.

Grandpa flew C-47's over "the hump" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_hump in the China Burma India theater. He made it back in one piece. a lot didn't. he's still kicking at 87 years young and still living in the Flint area.

I also have his olive drab wool officer's coat and the olive drab version of this uniform pictured. Perhaps the most prized possession is his Eisenhower jacket (made at Saks Fifth Avenue). It is priceless.

He and all those guys (and gals) were the greatest generation America -- or the world -- has ever seen.

Happy (belated) VE day to all WW2 veterans, my favorite kind of people.
