Brannan's headlined at Maxie's for me a million times, and he always makes me laugh! He'll make you snort your drink out your nose! Go see this show, even if it's just to see McCree, who will make you hurt for five minutes just introducing the guys!

AND! If I didn't have two other gigs I'd told people I'd go see, I'd go myself!

we saw mccree last year and didn't like him at all. thought this humor was a bit racist and very humorless. we like to laugh as much as anyone, but weren't the only rooms in that room who were embarrassed for him.

I also saw him perform. I went down to a local comedy place. While we didn't see the self depreciating or stereotypical humor you're talking about, we didn't find him that funny at all.

Bryan is absolutely hilarious. Won NBC's Stand Up For Diversity talent search. His comedic style is in the family of In Living Color, Chappelle's Show, Richard Pryor, Chris Rock, and Paul Mooney. It's edgy, not safe at all, spares no one, and that's why he's one of the best out there.
Wait till you see his DVD coming out this summer. I'm doing some post production work on it and its tough because I am laughing my ass off so much.
His tickets would be $45 where I live in NY so you guys should count yourselves lucky they're only $10 freakin' bucks. That's $.11 cents a laugh. What a bargain!
shawn, you are way off. you make my point exactly with the comics you've named - all african-american. brian talked about his black heritage, black experiences. that's great and no problem with that, but not funny at all.

i heard Bryan on 105.5 this morning with that dude and Michelle? I rarely listen, since my kids are in the room in the morning.
Sounds like it's gonna be fun.

I think that i may have to play devil's advocate about the race thing. The things that are the funniest is what happens in everyday life, race plays a major role in everday society and has for awhile. it's healthy to laugh at oneself due to the fact that we should simplistically do that to deflate our egos, more or less.
There are tons of jokes about women that women could find funny.
My husband wishes that I would become martha stewart, yeah, if i was like martha stewart I'd be single and rich.....maybe I will become like her.
Women do you ever feel like that you have had it taking care of the animals in your house? About once a week I put on the plastic gloves and clean the hamster cage, the yard because of the dogs and finally the cat litter. When i am standing over the cat litter with that d*mn kitty litter rake? I am now the poop queen of the house. I wear my new crown with pride.
Kids do say the darndest things, the other day, i asked my daughter to take a shower, she screamed at me....i can't!!! it feels like i am standing naked in a rainstorm, but there's no one around to look at me. with a comeback like that, she earned her bath.
you know what? My dad always used to say to me, Andi, people look at you and they laugh, i thought that i could be a comedian, until I realized that he was talking about my looks.....,insert ditzy laugh.
