Flint 'Vehicle City' Now America's Murder City
Is Flint a Foreshadow of Detroit?

FLINT, Mich. (WJBK) - So far, Detroit Mayor Dave Bing is not proposing cuts to the police department, but if he is thinking about cutting cops, he should take a look at Flint.
They cut the police force there by 25-percent, last year. Since then, the murder rate has spun out of control.
FOX 2's Charlie LeDuff recently made a trip to "Vehicle City". Click on the video player to watch his report.

The story can be found in Charlie Le Duff's archives on Fox 2 News.
He did a "drive along" with flint officers Dave hanson and Monica Jackson when only six officers were on duty. He went to the station and said the sign says it all="closed on weekends".

When responding to a shots fired called from 2 hours prior, the officers pull over the wrong car. The person driving the car is a woman whose son was killed 2 years ago. She states the family knows who killed their son, but they can't get justicce.
Forget the fired Channel 12 people,give Flint a Charlie le Duff as he travels to the Flint housing site called "Little Beiruit" and visits the Flint jail. |

| The facts are somewhat skewed when it comes to the number of officers on duty. Flint continues to count the South Side Task Force as officers on duty when they are grant funded. They are also used throughout the city and not in their assigned area. |
