Author    Post   Steve Myers Site Admin GENESEE TOWNSHIP Supervisor wins settlement suit Genesee Township Supervisor Steve Fuhr recently was awarded a $15,000 settlement from the township and his private insurer following a 2007 car accident. In 2007, a year before Fuhr was elected supervisor, he was hit while driving a Genesee Township police cruiser back to his automotive business. He has undergone shoulder surgery and therapy to his back and neck following the accident, as well as knee surgery. Fuhr said he didn't seek money from the township for his injuries, but since he was in a township-owned vehicle when it happened, his insurance carrier required a claim to be made against the township.
