There was an MTA Millage Renewal passed in the August 8, 2006 Primary Election. Which service did that cover?
My 2007 Winter Tax bill (City of Flint resident) shows Mass Transit Tax Rate is 0.79980. Can anyone explain how the following adds up to the rate on my tax bill?
"Local taxes: Three separate millages fund MTA's operational costs. The money does not traditionally go to building projects. The millages are: -- A 0.4-mill countywide tax for door-to-door Your Ride service. -- A second 0.4-mill countywide tax for door-to-door Your Ride service. -- A 0.6-mill tax in Flint for bus routes throughout the city and surrounding area."

Would have to look at my files but thought 2006 was a Your Ride millage for county.
Was surprized also MTA was again on the millage ballot.
