Crossroads Village opens to the public on Saturday, May 24th! I am very excited about this year because we are trying some new things. I'm also excited because I have a new, more historically accurate costume with a butt pillow! er.... bustle.

Anyway, you should come out to the Village because, hey... its pretty special and its pretty close by....

I forgot the two most important things.

Family Annual Pass prices are going up a little bit for 2008, but if you come out to the village on Memorial Weekend, you can purchase 2008 Family Annual Passes at the 2007 price. But you have to physically be at the village to buy them.

And they are good for unlimited admission to the village in the summer, I think unlimited admission for Christmas (but i could be mistaken), and one free admission during Hallowwen, all including train rides... for up to six people I think, and that includes train and / or boat rides, but it DOES NOT Include Day out with Thomas weekend.

AND Saturday May 24th at 7pm is our very first Huckleberry Radio Hour which will be performed live on stage at the Colwell Opera House in Crossroads Village and be broadcast live on WFNT 1470.

Yours truly will be working hard backstage. I don't have the face for stage OR radio!

Pushing buttons sure can be fun.

Paddle faster, I hear banjos.

ha ha pretty much.

but to avoid possibly offending one of the other ladies who work in the Village, i'm the chick with the big butt and the green dress.

my husband actually asked me after I put the bustle on for the first time: "so is this what I should expect you to look like in 20 years?"

Opening weekend is over and I think it went well, especially with the weather being cooperative.

Our new programs are going very well, and our Huckleberry Radio Hour was a huge success.

The radio show is on the website here:

I don't have a face for the stage.... or for radio for that matter, but I did get to be onstage for the finale!

I'm just grasping for straws I guess. Hope you like it!
