You have to wonder who Prosecutor Leyton is listening to. When the third shooting death occurred outside the club at 4125 Clio Road his position was that nothing could be done because the violence was outside of the club.

His comment now is "If we don't prevail it will give us an example of how and why the law needs to be amended to include violence on the grounds and not just inside the building."

He won't prevail and for some reason he is running a shell game so the public doesn't see his rue motive. Is he becoming political and wanting to run for a higher office using this platform on violence.

Roger Isaac, a sharp attorney who represents the club made a good point. Clio Road has been the scene of violence for a long time as has the City of Flint. Isaac stated the authorities were looking to make the club the culprit as they searched for someone to blame for the rampant crime the city and other police agencies are unable to contain.

He plans to launch a vigorous defense and states the prosecutor has a "long way to go to prove a nuisance." Isaac points to the violence that still occurs when the club is closed.

According to Leyton the police were sent to the clus 35 times, of which 17 were involving shots fired, man down or assault. But none of these incidents occurred inside the club. Actually, 2 security guards have been shot trying to protect patrons.

Will Leyton try to shut down the housing projects, like the Regencies, that see far more violence than the Palm Tree. What about stores like Cheers on W Court which has had a fair share of murders and other violence. Will he try to padlock that store and others like it. How about the gas station on Clio with rampant crime and the marathon on N Saginaw. Will he try to prove they are nuisances?

I wonder if Leyton is making a move as the Michigan Liquor Control Commission has already suspended the club's license. The V-8 Retirees club holds the liquor license for a members only club. The Liquor Control Commission rules the club violated their license by selling alcohol to the general public and operated as a for-profit bar in violation of their club status. They will remain suspended until they meet the eligibility rules for their club status.

Before 7 am the police were called to the regencies at 2300 Lapeer for two fights.
In the fight between the males, one pulled a 9 mm gun. In the fight between the females, one female was thrown into window.

Should we padlock the apartments. How many more complaints will come through there today?
