| I don't know when this website became a second news source for the mainstream media, but the majority of individuals on Flint Talk are doing nothing more than cutting and pasting articles from the Flint Journal and other media outlets. We know how to read. Why don't you post something that's not been printed, like maybe your own opinion, if you have one. |

There is a large group of people who want to read and get frustrated when the links expire. This way they know the source and can make their own decisions. I do so because they have indicated their frustration with being unable to locate the story. When they see radicals posting and venom in the posts, they tell me they will not post. So David, maybe you are part of the reason there are so few new posters.
Flygirl 311 is a newly minted Republican and previously claimed to be a Democrat (in name only). So watch for her to run in the Eighth ward.
I try to educate people on the issues. You and two tap often use links (like Brebart) that are discredited. |

You're right; only sources uncontaminated by evil conservatives should be allowed to exist. MSNBC is the only source that meets that criteria, right? or, should I say left???
I wasn't aware that political affiliation determines how some people view others. You learn something new every day.

Webs is a piece of work for sure and a legend in her own mind.  I have had several ex Flintalk friends of mine ask me just who the hell is this "webs"or better yet Sally person who spends 24-7 posting and then being the only one responding to the leftist crap she spews.
Might as well rename Flintalk the Daily Sally Show or "Webs Speaks" boreing predictable and pretty much nothing more then MSNBC storylines and Jay Carney talking points. |

Dave and Two tap- I expect nothing less of anyone that would follow you. We have two separate pools of followers. You make it obvious with your race baiting selections that you have disdain for the urban populations. I come from a different perspective. My followers rarely read your NRA rants and vicious diatribes because they believe you are nothing more than a racist antagonist.
So what if your friend and followers think I am a liberal nut job! I am not afraid of your scorn because I have as much or more for you. It is obvious that you feel the need to post your hatred, so I feel obligated to throw some BS back in your face. I would much rather focus on local issues. |

"Disdain for urban populations"? That must be why I've lived in the near North side of Flint for all my 71 years. With the exception of 4 years in the service and the 3 years we lived in the Fenton / Atherton area when we were first married.
Racist? That must be why I've lived in this house in the near North side since 1968, an area that's been 99.9% black since around 1980. That must be why I help a neighbor lady pay for her doctor appointments and prescriptions.
I have to go now. I have my weekly Bible thumping session at 9, then I have to wash my white bedsheets and the pillow cases with the eye holes cut in them.
Oh, by the way..... NRA?? I sure hope you're counting on the Police to get to you in time instead of relying on one of those evil handguns or Joe Biden's favorite thing, a shotgun. |

Webs thinks anyone who picks on her potus or who posts factual articles about the out of control black crime is racist. To "not" report such events based purely on race is the real racism but of course she will never get that.

Any article copied and pasted should contain the original link for crediting the source. Most here have done the C&P, including flygirl311. Webs has a habit of not including the original URL to articles. The source URL provides the full article, possible additional followup or previous links in the story and additional comments. Mosts sites forbid republishing the original articles, others require the original link be furnished. Copyright issues. Where there's been a story of interest to me I've had to search out the title to the story when it's been C&P'd here. When exceptionally lengthy articles are C&P'd the original formal is lost and loses my interest immediately. Where there's only a link there's not enough info to bait interest.
Agreed, "Flint Talk Forums" is not what it used to be.

I looked back at some earlier Flint Talk days. Citations were not always given and the urls used now have 404 error as they have expired. So much for changes.
Look at who ran against John Northrup in his last election. |
