Go north on Saginaw Street, starting in the vicinity of Mary Street to at least Avenue A and Genesee by the marathon station, and go west* to M L King, and you will see a proliferation of graffiti denouncing the police. There are references on Facebook from the Flint Expatriots, that the Fifth Ward is a gang. Besides 5th ward graffiti, there are many more KKKops and FTP. FTP is simple it means F*ck The Police. KKKop appears to describe a police mentality that is like the KKK. This reference is used widely in Hip Hop vernacular to describe what is considered unjust beating and shootings of black individuals by white police.

While Fifth Ward appears to be a Blood gang, there was also a rap group using this name. There is also the notorious Fifth Ward in Houston, Texas.

The band members were Big P, Big banks, and T-ree.

Top Authority was one of the first rap groups from Flint, Michigan and among the earliest of the underground Midwest rap scene to release a nationally recognized album. Bootleg, a member of the slightly later Flint group The Dayton Family, told Murderdog magazine, "We grew up together, same hood. We'd be together every day. That's family." He lists them as leading lights in Flint music, along with acts like Ready for the World and MC Breed. Rapper Chilla Pertilla defined Northern hip hop to Murderdog as "Eminem, Twista, Bone, Breed, Dayton Family, Top Authority, Esham, and ICP".

They first came to public attention with the single "93 (Things Ain't How They Should Be)" from the debut album Something To Blaze To (TRAK Records, 1993). Something To Blaze To reached #21 on Billboard's Top R&B Albums chart in April 1994. The "rolling g-funk trio" (as allmusic describe members Shotgun, Dalo and Flex) followed up with Rated G for Wrap Records in 1995. It featured scratches from DJ Aladdin and reached #16 on the Top R&B Albums chart. allmusic considers 1997's Top Authority Uncut (The New Year) to be their best release. It peaked at #21, with the single "World War III" charting at #37 on Billboard's Hot Rap Singles. In 2009 Top Authority returned with their fourth album, kush music, on which MC Breed and Do or Die make guest appearances.

They call themselves the "money gang" and their motto is "got money".

One oddity is the presence of 74 GD in an area that says GDK (Gangster Disciple killa). 74GD is redundant as both 74 and GD stand for Gangster Disciple. Also 74GD has displayed his relationship to the Gundry Hood, which is a long distance from this area.

This area is heavily vacated and has many demolitions. In the area close to Mary Street there are too many burnt homes to be a coincidence.

The heaviest concentration of graffiti is in the area of the Marathon station and is across the street from the new Hamilton Health Clinic, the newly renovated Oak Business Center and the Job Corps. Some of this area is in one of the 8 sub areas for the Master Plan.

Fifth Ward members have also been located in the area around Howard Estates and one area of South Saginaw. Years ago the Howard Estates Mini-Station was painted in 2 places with F**k the Police.

Uh, it's a bit difficult to go East from North Saginaw to King, since King is WEST of Saginaw.

Title: FTP2.0--vulgar language The Police!
START DATE: Friday March 01
TIME: 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Location Details:
1 OGP Plaza
Oakland, CA
Event Type: Party/Street Party
Hello people of the world. It is time that people come and march as a bloc. Let's keep it fun and cool , we have a set of rules to keep every safe so we can all march in peace.

vulgar language THE POLICE MARCH

FTP2.0 - vulgar language THE POLICE
Take our pigs for a walk. They need the exercise. And it only costs the city $50K a week!

*** This event is being called by the Occupy Oakland Tactical Action Committee. It might continue weekly.

The Tactical Action Committee was approved by Occupy Oakland's GA to perform autonomous actions at their discretion. In that sense it is not an "official" Occupy Oakland event, in the sense that it was not directly, but indirectly, approved through the GA.***

IMPORTANT NOTE: NV folks are welcome, this is a peaceful protest -- whatever that means.

FTP March, Iteration 2.0 March,1, 2013 - Tactical Parameters

Due to the fact that most of our internal issues on each march and action to date have come from a lack of information on what the tactical parameters of a particular action are expected to be, TAC will be calling for tactical parameters on this and all future FTP marches that may change as we learn and practice our skills in the streets.

Note that these are the wishes by the callers of the march. In the interests of solidarity please respect these parameters. These are being called for this march only. This goes both ways -- please be respectful enough of the event to not pursue certain actions at this time if they are being put on the "please don't" list; likewise, if you are uncomfortable with someone performing an action that is acceptable within the march parameters DO NOT INTERFERE with them. This is respect for diversity of tactics, and also proper solidarity in the face of our common enemy. There will come a day that this practice, discipline and restraint will serve us well as a unit.

If you cannot follow the parameters DO NOT ATTEND. They will be read before the march during the rally. People will be given the opportunity to back out if they feel they cannot respect the tactics, with no loss of face.

So, for this march, TAC is asking for the following:

SHIELDS: If you have the capability and the will to march in the front line, make a shield to carry for this Saturday's action.

NO DAMAGE TO PRIVATE PROPERTY of any kind -- people's cars, any Oakland businesses (especially small businesses - but the Starbucks that was hit last time actually gives free coffee and food to our vigil so we prefer to leave all of them out at this time).

PROPERTY THAT IS FAIR GAME IF YOU ARE SO INCLINED - police vehicles and equipment. The police are not our friends, never have been, and never will be.

NO FRONTAL ASSAULTS ON THE POLICE - i.e., no bottle throwing. Defensive actions are fully accepted and encouraged. Shields, unarresting, disarming cops that are beating comrades, etc. MAKE THE POLICE STRIKE THE FIRST BLOW.

SPLIT-OFF MARCHES AND AUTONOMOUS ACTIONS ARE NOT DISCOURAGED. If you do decide to go your own route, please respect the above parameters. Large banks, huge international corporations that run this city with their money, political organization HQ such as the Democrat campaign office or the chamber of commerce are not considered private property for the purposes of the parameters. If you decide to split off, do your autonomous actions away from the main march, not right next to it.

We are not encouraging anyone to attack any property whatsoever, but some property is more acceptable than others if you really must risk your freedom by doing something of that nature.

FIRE CAN BE FUN - if you want to burn a usa flag in the street (that isn't somebody's car) then more power to you. If someone is burning a flag in the street then DO NOT INTERFERE.

BLOC UP: If you hear the shout, "Bloc up!" Or "Tighten up!" It is in your best interest to clump together with the main group in tight formation. Be aware of distance and do not string out along the march route. Do not give the police an opportunity to snatch you and plant evidence on you to conflate charges with.

And to repeat:

NO INTERFERING IN OTHER PEOPLE'S ACTIONS EVEN IF YOU DO NOT PERSONALLY AGREE WITH THEM. Do not yell stop. Do not grab your comrades. If you feel unsafe, move away. The parameters listed above are for our own use so that we can hold one another accountable afterwards for things that may not have gone according to plan. But in the face of the enemy WE SHOW FULL SOLIDARITY. Afterwards we can argue about stuff. Not during the action.

We are all adults. We are all comrades. We have a common enemy and we will have to learn to work as a unit. Following the action parameters on each FTP march should mitigate the fighting and problems we have consistently had after every action to date.

Thank you for your cooperation.

***

The Oakland Police Department has harassed and brutalized Occupy Oakland and participants in the vigil. Camps and liberated foreclosed buildings have been raided and shut down. OOers at the vigil have been arrested for as little as standing nearby when the police decide to raid, all the way up to the ridiculous charge of lynching. People have been physically assaulted by those supposed to protect and serve, but only do so in the interests of the 1%.

With dozens of our comrades having been arrested in the past couple of weeks, and culminating in the city's revocation of the vigil's permit and the immediate threat of another police raid to clear the plaza, the time has come to rise up and let them know what we think of them and that we will no longer meekly accept their violations of our civil and human rights.

Spread the word, send the invite, join us as we march in solidarity against police repression.

Wear black
Bring shields if you are able and willing

Rally at 7:00 pm
March on OPD HQ at 9:00 pm

THE WHOLE WORLD IS WATCHING OCCUPY OAKLAND
SOLIDARITY

We are Anonymous,
We are legion,
We never forgive,
We never forget,
Opd we are 3 months
late but still
you should have
Expected us.

It is good to see vulgar language the Police back and I will be there with the medicine (sage) keeping the youngins safe. After the Alan Blufford assassination by the Bastard kkkop from NYC after shooting himself in the foot to make it look like a shootout and the DA as an accomplice in the crime. The Oakland City council (which I no longer recognize as a governing body, Dec 21st, 2012) approves wasting 250,000 dollars for another Bastard installing the "Stop and Frisk" a blatant attack on people of Color (black, brown and RED). If you cannot get up for this you are in the words of Immortal Technique a "Lethargic Devil" or in RunningWolf's terms a "Candy Ass". Footnote I'm glad we chased Quan out of Muwekma (Peoples) Park, Berkeley still got some political life.

Why "vulgar language THE POLICE"?

CRIMINAL COPS: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0hG8-3N8LW4

They say the "OCCUPY CRACKDOWN" had to do with "sanitation issues" when that's a flat out lie. It had to do w/ restoring "BUSINESS AS USUAL" so crooked politicians and their business pals could walk the streets without having to hear people complain everyday about how abusive this political and financial system is to everybody! Now the elite can go to bed at night without fearing the worst because there is no movement left on the street that may evolve into a new revolt. The crackdown on (OWS), Occupy Wall Street was motivated by fear of a coming insurrection and everyday of silence that has been occurring in the street since then is a victory for the elite because we allow our selves to be intimidated by their state security forces rather than battling them like the people of Iceland, Greece and Egypt.

It's not okay to fight back. It's never been okay. Fear the police. -sarcasm

The only ones who ever tried resisting the police in America while rejecting (private property as sacred and human life as expendable) were the anarchists, radicals and black bloc and they don't even make up a big segment of the protest population. Not even 1% of it. That's how weak the resistance was during Occupy and now there is nothing left of it in sight but internet discussions. The movement has been reduced to blogs and books and the people accept it. The Occupy movement could have grown and evolved into something more radical and militant to take power back from the corporations, bankers, prisons and the heavy handed police state but the elite who runs the establishment knows better than to wait and so the call by Homeland Security to preemptively stop any possibility of revolution was made and now everyone is just waiting not knowing what to do next because everyone in America is afraid. This really doesn't sound familiar.

So the media airs a story about petty reasons for shutting down Occupy like "sanitation issues" and blah blah blah and most people do not express their outrage over this. People need to change their reaction or lack of it in order for things to change around here. That also means people have to get serious in order for things to get serious and I mean really heat up. People need to grow a pair. Not just you men out there but you women too. All this political repression by the courts, prisons, police just so rich fucks and politicians can go on about their daily corruption living lavishly off tax payers who sit back and let it all happen as they watch you get your asses handed to you by the police is just sicking. Shouldn't that make you want to get up and organize something deeper than what you are already doing? Something far more radical than what you are already doing? Crackdowns by your government on your movement should be more of a reason to resist than to just walk away with your heads down. YOU KNOW? Cops don't feel any shame, pity or remorse for defending large corrupt institutions. Why respect police or legitimize their authority at all anymore? What in the hell needs to be done to put an end to the system that has turned its back on everyone not in the billionaire millionaire club? When's the steam lid on the kettle ever going to blow? Whens the shit gona hit the fan? The real shit! When is it ever going to happen? It feels like crooked people can get away with what ever they want in this country because the streets will never go up in flames even though that is the only powerful thing left to do once the election system has been hijacked. Our hands are tied. What is the other option because I can't seem to find one? Please? Enlighten me.

Bayview Good Cop - Bad KKKop
Chronicle 7-29-07

Yesterday while doing an Altar to Youth Victims of Police Brutality at a DCYF event at Alice Griffith in Double Rock (at a Youth Power event), Housing Complex,
while 2 police cars and 7 cops in full gear swarmed around the basket ball court, one Black cop:

I was approached by one of our Bayview beat cops, right by the Altar, short brown skin dude, 38yr, known in the hood for his "winning smile" (anonymity around our conversation for now, first name "Kevin").

The conversation is strained as his walkie talkie keeps sending out scratchy messages and he tries his best at engaging and staying on the lookout.

"Hey mesha"
"Hey Officer, long time no see, what's shakin'?"
"Oh nothing, just enjoying the day"

We talked about the narcs trying to entrap me into a drug purchase of "Oxycon" at Bayview Plaza last month :
"Too bad...I was not there, so I don't know what is going on with the narcs, not my department."
"Is is within policy to entrap citizens into a drug purchase, Kevin ? I thought you could only MAKE purchases undercover?"
"No, not really.... But I don't know, I'm not a Narc"

"Last year at BVHP Foundation Summer Youth Breakfast Program, I was giving a talk to our kids about their Rights when detained or arrested, and. one of your veteran Bayview officers, scheduled to give his talk before I did, was asked by a little boy:
"Officer, what does RACIAL PROFILING mean?"
Response:
"Well, if you wear a white t-shirt, wear dreads and have fake gold front teeth, and I see you at a certain corner at a certain time, you d... right I will put you against the wall and I'm gonna frisk you".
Kevin, is it legal for you to advocate and practice racial profiling?"
(Laughing) "That is not racial profiling if we're talking T-shirts and dreads. Well, in a way, it is, the way he put it, he was describing racial profiling. It all depends"

"How is your experience as a beat cop in Bayview?"
"It's all right, mostly.... the BAD ONES avoid me"

"Can we talk about the Oakdale Mob gang injunction?"
"Nah... I don't know much about it, not my department"

"Do you want to come and talk about your experience as a beat copat SF_Village_Voice Community Radio station on 3rd?"
(Flashing state of the art laser whitened teeth)
"Why don't you ask LONNY HOLMES? He is the law: here ! (handing out a pamphlet) his mayoral campaign material !
Well, I'll ask my partner Arlington if he wants to visit you on Monday. You know him, big dude. He's Black"

"And what are you Kev? How old are you if I may ask?
"Filipino, Black and Latino, I'm old, I'm 38"

Kevin, are you arresting any trash poachers in Bayview yet?
"Not yet, but as for myself, I sure will !"
"How about concentrating your efforts on illegal dumping instead?"
"Yeah, Both !"

"Kevin, how come your department arrested Royce Miller for the murder of "Snookie" Danner 3 years ago, whose body was dumped in Menzell Park, when y'all know as we do that Mo' Powell did the job?"
"Hmmmmm, let me bring it back to my captain, I'll get back to you on that"

"Hey Kev, how's Officer Yolanda Williams doing?"
(laughing openly) "She is on extended medical leave, forever"
(Yolanda Williams was originally appointed to do cultural competency training for SFPD. Respected by the hood, the promised job was taken out of her hands before she would start, and she has been on leave for the past 2 years)

4 colleagues are calling him out from the sidewalk at a distance.
" Got to go, see you on Monday maybe mesha"

Step 5 - US Correctional facilities are the training grounds of US Torturers sent to Iraq and Guantanamo

Step 6 - Most US Death Row Inmates are Poor People of Color, a vast majority of them innocent

MEGA ANTI GANG INJUNCTIONS COALITION (M.A.G.I.C.)

This site is a forum between concerned citizens and community based organizations, strategizing to defeat the hype around Youth gangs that is sweeping the Nation, particularly in cosmetically appealing " blighted " areas targeted for gentifrication, and currently the heavily criminalized neighborhoods of Poor People of Color.

Hype about gangs is making more citizens fearful of minority youth, and dangerously increasing potential for racially motivated incidents.

Although we recognize the existence of Gangs as partially at the root of the demise of our poor communities of Color, the Hype about Gangs Injunctions provide police less with a tool to confront gangs than with license to take action against anyone in the area who happens to look like. "a gang member", a kid with dreadlocks, a white T-shirt, a pre-teen or teenager hanging out after school at the street corner by his parents' home.

In San Francisco, SFPD beat up 4 teenagers on MLK day in 2002, wrongly assumed to be "gang members", and brutalized Marcus Law, then 14, on the same presumption 3 years ago, both incidents in Bayview Hunters point, the poorest and most criminalized area of the city.
SF Community is raising against the Hype, and "Managed Mayhem" carefully crafted to proceed to "Ethnic Cleansing", and "sanitize" SF Bayview, in imminent process of land grab by the developers.

We want to gather experiences and actions across the US, grow our strength, within the framework of authentic Community Policing, and regain our Power over the deadly collaboration between land grab and criminalization perpetrators.

The Five Points
www.savenkeep.com/The+Five+Points
Top 10 Results Bookmarked by our Users for The Five Points!

The Blood street gang has many identifiers, and the five points are five principles contained in each point of a five pointed star. Each point, or principle, stands for Love, Peace, Truth, Freedom, and Justice. These principles are what the Bloods claim to live by, but they are only one of many gangs that utilize the same five points. The five pointed star is a symbol of the People Nation.
People Nation is not a gang by itself, but a banner under which other gangs have formed an alliance. Some of these other gangs are the Netas, Vice Lords, and Latin Kings. The gangs under the People Nation all use the five pointed star, with many gang members even having it tattooed on their bodies. It's also part of their gang jargon with each other. When saluting one another, one gang member may say "What's poppin homie?" with the answer being "That five." The five in this scenario refers to five gunshots "poppin" off. The five points are essentially the same for other gangs under People Nation, with the exception of the Latin Kings, who exchange a few of these with other principles, such as sacrifice and honor.

Bloods - Rap Dictionary
http://www.rapdict.org/Bloods
Jan 2, 2013 ... They began to expand to non-Crip gang territories controlled by gangs ...

The confusion of Bloods representing the People Nation's 5 point star Contrary to popular belief, real Bloods do not represent any People Nation 5 point star and are not part of the People Nation Alliance, though Bloods consider them to be allies adapting some customs. The confusion of Bloods representing the People Nation’s 5 point star started on the internet with unknown persons creating various fictional “Blood Books of Knowledge” which consist of mixing Blood history and People Nation history, symbols, and literature (lit) together. These fictional “Books of Knowledge” spread rapidly throughout the internet and eventually into the streets with wanna-be’s taking these books serious and being mislead. There are, however, legit Bloods who use the terms “5 popping”, “We ride the 5", and who replace the letter “S” with a “5", but when a Blood uses the number 5 it simply symbolizes the number of letters in the word B.L.O.O.D. So when a Blood calls himself “5" he is infact simply reffering to himself as “BLOOD”. This use of the number 5 may have also lead the the confusion of Bloods representing the People Nation's 5 point star. This misrepresentation of the Bloods and the number 5 has largely affected Bloods in the South, East Coast, and some parts of the Midwest. This widespread miseducation of the Bloods has lead to a recent major outreach by west coast Bloods to all Bloods across the country to let them know that Bloods do not represent the People Nation of Chicago and do not represent any form of a 5 point star. This outreach has been making a major impact on Bloods in the South, East, and Midwest who have all been dropping all use of anything related to the People Nation and a 5 point star and are all steady getting back to their roots.

Rankings

Blood sets have a loose structure of ranks based on how long a person has been banging for their particular hood and how much work they put in for the hood. Their rank structure is as follows:

L.G. (Little Gangster) - members ages 8-12
L.Y.G. (Little Young Gangster) - members ages 13-17
Y.G. (Young Gangster) - after 0 active years of banging after the age of 18
O.Y.G. (Original Young Gangster) - after 5 active years of banging after the age of 18
O.G. (Original Gangster) - after 10 active years of banging
O.O.G. (Double O.G.) - after 20 active years of banging
O.O.O.G. (Tripple O.G.) - after 30 active years of banging

These ranks don’t signify leadership or dominance over anybody else in the set, they just signify respect for those who have been in the hood longer, put in more work for the hood, and have survived the longest. This means that Bloods with higher rank don’t give out orders or call shots over those with lower rank. Bloods with higher rank are respectfully reffered to as “Big Homies” by Bloods with lower rank (they also refer to each other as Relatives). Once a person has joined a Blood set, it’s for life… meaning you can not leave the set or flip (switch) to another set.

Commenters on the shooting of the man and woman in the 300 block of Genesee Street have indicated the incident occurred in the driveway between two vacant houses at the intersection of Alexander. There are three vacant properties on the north side of this intersection. The yellow police tape is still visible in some spots.

Genesee and Avenue A merge about 3 blocks east of the murder scene at the Marathon station and an abandoned station. Since the police are called repeatedly to this station they must observe the gang graffiti on the 3 commercial buildings on Saginaw and Avenue A north to Leith Street. There is a $500 fine for a failure to remove the graffiti once an owner is cited. This should be a priority with the new Hamilton Clinic, the newly renovated Oak Business Center and the Job Corps just across the street.

Fifth Ward is south of the Marathon and the south side of the Marathon has Genesee Dump Gang that has been crossed off in blue. A nearby building has Genesee Street. Some north end gangs use their streets as names. Much of the graffiti is dedicated to the rap group Jungle Boyz and numerous RIP tributes.

Shiloh Baptist uses a lot on Genesee and Mildred that butts up to a house filled with gang graffiti. I can't believe the Church has no issue with the close proximity of gang graffiti.

If you cross Leith at Mildred and enter the Garfield School parking lot, you see numerous gangs represented. Gangster Disciples, Crips, the Skull Gang and more. Much of this graffiti is near the area where the school was set on fire. Four years ago, this graffiti was on the school as people voted.

At a building across the street from Salem Housing is a what I believe is a RIP to Michael Veal. It reads RIP Michael V and D 4 life. Some is hard to read because the color is only slightly darker than the building.
