Yesterday morning Flint Police Operations reported 5 murders and 23 shooting and stabbings since 6/21/12. More shootings since then.
I feel sorry for the staff working at McDonald's on Clio and Pasadena. It seems like they have problems on a regular basis especially when the What's next is open. i don't understand why annyone would drive through and threaten the emplyees. Even the Mcdonald's on Dort and Stewart is having problems with the same sort of intimidation.
Last night was another wild west kind of night. Fights, assaults and more instances of shot fired.
The 1400 block of myrtle was shot up twice and people in the 1200 block of Ida stated it was second night in a row of gunshots. Delaware on the eastside had shots fired.
I just spoke to a friend who almost got caught in the crossfire between a car on Flushing shooting at the car next to her on Dupont. Because they ducked to avoid the shots and did not get a license number, 911 said there was nothing they could do.Area around Ballenger park is very dangerous. |

I am showing my age, but I remember when Clio road was the business spot to be in. Now it resembles a third world country with it's shuttered and burned out businesses. All of the great eating places are gone and there is little left. Definitely a place to avoid.
Ballenger Highway and the side streets all the way up to Miller Road have been the subject of many 911 calls lately. There is not a week that passes without calls about violence, fights or shots fired near the Court, Corunna, and Flushing intersections of Ballenger.
Last night it was the 2600 block of Prospect where a fight and gunshots erupted the night. One man was shot in the lower leg. Others had their cars riddled with bullets. |
