The Flint web site said compost would start on April 16th. Now I understand the city is saying that wasa tentative date.

Meanwhile, warmer than usual temperatures this spring has residents cleaning their yards earlier. Huge numbers of compost are sittin along the curb all over the city.

With the heavy rains, these bags are starting to fall apart and create a mess on the curbs.

Some ignorant and cheap people that live near parks are taking their clippings and depositing them in the park.

1- homes along Greenway near Basset Park. The home on the triangular shaped property is one of the worst offenders as their lawn care is always dumping their clippings in the park.

2. Mott Park. I saw a man with his small dog on Nolden Drive dumping on the golf course just this week.

The city must have gotten lots of complaints as they finally started to pick up the compost. Our pickup day is tuesday and they got the compost today.

Initially they were telling residrnts the April 16th date was only a tentative date.
