From his Twit page.......

# At a business to business meeting discussing economic development strategies, incl focus on marketing our community about 5 hours ago via web

Surely, we can come up with some slogans to help him market Flint.

That is about the same time he was having emergency meetings with department heads.

Where is Flint City mole as people are said to be in Washington DC HUD offices today. Chamber of Commerce may be there too.

Did the city receive their letter from the Vice President's office regarding the status the the first round of NSP fund drawdowns?

Is this in regards to the Chamber of Commerce taking over the Economic development functions of the city. Last time they tried they failed miserably. They took file cabinets of information and when the city requested it back, they got one small box. Speeds inquiries about a 108 loan was lost in the shuffle.

Come to Flint -
The County jail is full.
The city jail is closed.
The police are all laid off.

How's that for a marketing pitch?

Dave- there are warning signs of a slowdown in the development of downtown Flint. At least 2 buildings are up for sale. Also the old Genesee Bank building is still vacant with no construction. Signs are up for the loft rentals. Witherbees is still cosed and no signs of construction. The court street grocery store seems to have stalled too.

Maybe the new Downtowns of Promise program from the state will help.

What about our NSP 1 funds through HUD and MSHDA? Mole is quiet today. Remember Eason said he was running the DCED office, although he had Superintendent Tracy Atkinson.

I've been hearing that the mayor's neighborhood in the college area isn't what it used to be, too.
