If the health care bill is so good, why were senators not allowed to read it before voting? Why was it necessary to put in special provisions for certain senator's states - Dodd, Bauccus, Nelson - in order to get their vote? Why was the bill not posted so the public could see it? This is the most transparent administration in history? If the bill's as good as Harry Reid claims, why is congress exempt from it's provisions?

Well see just how much democrat celebrating goes on in 2010 when they have to face the voters. Anyhow americans sure had it proven once again that democrats have no values that cant be bought. Hey Terry if this healthcare bill is such a great thing for America why dosent it take effect until 2014 long after Obama attempts to get reelected??? Could it be once it becomes a fact and Americans find out whats really been pulled on them that it will be hell to pay? By the way Merry

Terry- Here they discuss Cherry's non-existant name reognition!
Podcast: Surprising poll in Michigan governor's race; saving Kent County farmland; statewide smoking ban at last; and Tiger Woods, other athletes as role models
By Jeff Cranson | The Grand Rapids Press

Grand Rapids Press File PhotoDo you know who this man is? Michigan Lt. Governor John Cherry visited Grand Rapids Community College earlier this week to outline his proposal to add a 10-cent per bottle fee to each water bottle produced in the state to save the Michigan Promise Scholarship. A recent poll finds Cherry has little name recognition among Michigan voters.
On this week's podcast, Grand Rapids Press editors Jeff Cranson and Ed Golder talk about:
1.The race for governor. Democratic House Speaker Andy Dillon is pushing reforms for early next year including his plan to pool public employee health care. He says the state is facing a "GM situation" and needs radical change. Lt. Gov. John Cherry is pushing a 10-cent tax on bottled water to fund the Michigan Promise scholarships and wetlands protection. This, all while rumors persist that the Obama Administration may offer Cherry a post because of concerns he cannot win in 2010. Cherry backers say the rumors are unfounded and also dismiss questions about shakeups in the campaign as "routine." Republican candidate Rick Snyder is trying to demonstrate a broader base of support by eschewing PAC money and pledging to raise $20,000 in 20 days. He's also pitching a plan to remake the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. Meanwhile, a new poll yielded some surprising findings on the name recognition of gubernatorial candidates.

Sounds like Obama is about to appoint another loser, nothing new there. I have another question for our resident Democrat blogger concerning Obama care. If the public option is no longer in the bill why does the friggin thing cost the american taxpayer a trillion dollars??

"Cherry has trailed by double-digits in head-to-head matchups with Cox and by high single digits against Hoekstra and Bouchard in several polls in recent months."

The visibility caused by articles such as your are greatly helping the name recognition.

How can an unknown fringe candidate with no experience protect the interests of the Michigan 5th Congressional District? Just who are the libertarians? Should the libertarian get the same media attention as the Democratic incumbent and the Republican opponent? Dale Kildee is the best Congressman in Washington D.C.. His working closely with Pelosi will bring home the bacon for our district.

Which one of those points brought up in my post are not true. By the way werent you one of those telling us what a great president your obama would make. Hmm looks like we may need to look elsewhere for political reccomendations. You do make a valid point though, why would anyone take seriously a political blog where the blogger has such an obvious biased agenda sort of like???Well you know.
