Independent experts consulted during the
preparation of this report describe the
agency’s enforcement efforts as being in
severe decline. According to Dr. Jerry
Avorn of the Harvard Medical School, there
is “a growing laxity in FDA’s surveillance
and enforcement procedures,” a “dangerous
decline in regulatory vigilance,” and an
“obvious unwillingness to move forward
even on claims from its own field offices.”
Dr. Michael Wilkes of the University of
California, Davis, School of Medicine said
that the agency has “systematically ignored
District Field Officers and regularly
overridden their explicit and well
documented concerns about drug safety and
public health.” Sammie Young, a former
senior FDA enforcement official, expressed
“serious concerns about how FDA is
fulfilling its enforcement responsibilities.”

So let me get this straight. You sad excuse for human beings are defending the MURDER of this doctor who was performing a perfectly legal medical procedure.

Now I can see the arguement that what he was doing was wrong. Believe me I hate abortion as well but it is not my place to tell a woman who may be facing a life or death situation what she can and cannot do.

What you whack jobs are promoting is vigilanteism. This country is based on a system of laws which are to be followed. I don't like the fact that CEO's who run corporations into the ground get million dollar golden parachutes, while ruining the livelyhoods of thousands of employees. Yet I do not think they should be shot and killed (in church none the less) especially without a trial.

How about a quick example of us "sad excuses" defending the shooter??? who as we know has to answer for the taking of one human life, the doc on the other hand.

Nor is it mine If thats all that was involved here but if you take the time to read his track record you might discover that was not often the case.

Heres the good Doc explaining his justification.
Your presence here this morning means that something is going dramatically wrong in your life. You may be here to end a pregnancy early because of fetal abnormality to save your unwell, unborn child from a lifetime of pain, suffering, disability, and hardship.

On the other hand, you may be here because of some of your own issues of survival. You may have issues of domestic violence: rape, incest, spouse abuse, or child abuse.

You may have issues of your own health. You may have some serious disease process: cancer, lymphoma, diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, or any one of a number of the other medical problems that can afflict women of child bearing age.

You may have some issues of age yourself. You may be 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 years of age. On the other hand, you may be at the end of the other spectrum of fertility. You may be 40, 45, 50, 55, or even 60 years of age.

There may be some issues of poverty such as homelessness. You may have some occupational issues. You may have some financial issues.

But, for whatever reason that you are here... we find that there are many reasons why women find that continuing the pregnancy will cause substantial and irreversible impairment of their physical health, their mental health, their emotional health, their family health, age of the patient, safety and well-being... for whatever reason that you are here, welcome to Wichita, and thank you for the opportunity to be helpful to you.

And all you republicans got so upset that our justice department and homeland security would dare warn of terrorism from right-wing nut jobs. This guy who murdered tiller wasn't too far out of the mainstream of the right wing of the republican party. The GOP is no longer the party of limited government, low taxes, and strong national defense; it is the party of people like scott roeder and michael savage and sarah palin. fine by me, just will solidify a democratic majority for years to come. However, unless you all enjoy being the extreme vocal minority then keep it up.

Brilliant analogy now its Bushs fault. And of course we all know the late Doctor for doing what he did was of course a hero among the whackos of your party as well as yourself it would appear. Not to worry though as I am sure their is another physician who is just as adept at snuffing those babies waiting in the wings to take over.

Oh ya one more thing I wonder who this whackjob would be most likely to be aligned with?your prez Barack Hussein Obama perhaps but surely not Sarah Palin.

Suspect pleads not guilty in soldier's death
By NOAH TRISTER Associated Press Writer The Associated Press
Tuesday, June 2, 2009 9:57 AM EDT

(AP) — A Muslim convert who already was under federal investigation pleaded not guilty Tuesday in what police called a likely "political and religious" attack that killed a young soldier at a military recruiting center.

Abdulhakim Muhammad, 23, of Little Rock, was charged in Monday's death of Pvt. William Long, 23, of Conway outside an Army-Navy Career Center in a west Little Rock shopping center. He pleaded not guilty to a capital murder charge and was ordered held without bail.

A prosecutor said Muhammad admitted shooting Long and another soldier "because of what they had done to Muslims in the past."

I think that you have just proven by citing an example of a radical Muslim that there are radical pro-lifers out there wanting to take a life too.

There's a difference in being pro-life and a pro-life nutter.

I am sorry that you can't see that Tiller's family is hurting and so are the parishioners of his church. You can't see that Tiller was an overall OB/GYN and you are just concentrating on the abortion part of his practice....sigh.

Their are radicals everywhere, holy moly even some leftwing whackos and on this forum to boot. Rolling Eyes But I dunno that admitted 60,000 snuffed babies figure kinda takes the overall OB/GYN concept to a new level dont ya think? But of course what do I know being the "sad excuse for a human being" I have been accused of being. Laughing

I didn't say anything about bush. Typical, can't refute the argument so you change the subject.

The point was that the extremist wing of the republican party is exerting itself and will lead to the demise of the GOP. Now, if you think that murdering a man is acceptable because of his occupation (which was legal) then you certainly fit into that wing of the party. And, I question your claims of being "pro-life" when you support the murder of a man and the support of the war. I'm sure you're in favor of the death penalty too! Hypocritical doesn't even begin to describe people of your ilk.

Ever wonder why abortion is still legal? From 2000 - 2006 the republican party controlled both houses of congress, the presidency, and had - as it still does - a majority of conservatives on the supreme court. If the republican party actually cared about outlawing abortion, why didn't they do it in those 6 years? Simple question really. However, we all know the answer - or should know the answer. Those that don't are ignorant to the political reality of today's republican party.

HUH??? still waiting for the part that says Im in favor of the doc being murdered. You libs can sure pull stuff out of thin air when you have nothing to base your arguments on. Rolling Eyes by the way while your at it name me any repub who is praising the shooter.

Well looks like I was wrong on the replacement theory.
Tiller's death has focused attention on the availability of third-trimester abortions, as the few remaining providers age with little interest from new doctors to offer such services.

bumpy faced lying bill o'reilly got that whack-job all keyed up. coo-coo.

ahh yes, the party of conservative whack jobs. actually, the true republicans need to tell limbaugh (who's never been elected to anything), hannity (who still hasn't gotten the water boarding he said he would) and of course, the racist fool o'reilly (just plain idiot) to all shut the hell up and allow the once great party to get it's stuff together again.

and of course, as usual your attempt to connect the president with muhammad the nutjob is feeble.......again. Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing
