Please do he is our future.

I do admit our future does not look as promising as the past so it would make since for a purer socialist like Obama to lead is into the Depression.

Mr. Bankert,

First, I apologize ahead of time for the length of this. That’s not to you, but to everyone who reads this post. It’s something I despise and commented on, and find myself doing it here. Granted, no matter how lengthy it is, it will not compare to your extensive, prolonged “blogs” you constantly post. And I’m sure a tad more interesting, too (also no links are attached).

Since my post, I counted nine comments which supported my opinion. That’s 9 out of 11 posts, not counting yours! And the other two posts were “quick” (note the “quick”) comments about politics. They didn’t, by any means, support liking to read your blogs and seeing all those links.

A few things (which is a phrase you’ll never start off with). You said, “….if this group troll attack is to discourage me, professionals have tried that, its not working.” First of all, I won’t comment on the grammatical and punctual errors in your posts. Let’s just say, there’s quite a few. If you truly want these people to read your posts (these people being the small “following” you referred to), make them readable. Make them understandable. Punctuation and grammar are very important factors, and are essential if you want people to read what you write.

Secondly, please don’t be misinformed or paranoid about a “group troll attack” (I’m still trying to figure out the “troll” part). This isn’t a conspiracy. I don’t think myself or anyone in this forum is trying to discourage you. I guess I didn’t even realize other professionals have tried that.

All the responses were great, but Kevin McKague said it best. We come here looking for interesting post titles. The same title, over and over again with a different number at the end, will not grab most people’s attention. It’s not interesting. Not to me, anyway. Kevin’s right - we all look down the forum titles, click on one if it sounds interesting, maybe post, and then go on to the next one. He also hit the nail on the nose - we’re not surfing here for articles! We know where to find those. Most of us do not want to read someone’s blog or “a rambling digest of links and stories.” I’m not the only one who thinks, “thanks for the link, Terry, but you’re not M-Live. I can find those articles, too. I’m not on Flinttalk.com to read articles you’ve linked to.” Like Kevin, I’ll also bet most of people who clicked on this thread did so merely out of curiosity. They no doubt became quickly overwhelmed or bored.

Your remark that your small “following” (I’ve got to find out who these people are) does not have to be me, only calls for one answer - not to worry, Terry, it’s not. I do exactly what Demeralda does - find myself skipping this thread every single day. Thanks, by the way, Demeralda, for the added “except for today” remark! I also liked the “this thread is a masturbatory exercise” comment. Demeralda’s absolutely right - if you want to blog, get a blog site of your own! It was great verbiage in saying that “they should give him his own section of the forum and move this atrocity.” Although I don’t agree it should be on this site. And don’t be fooled, Mr. Bankert, Demeralda’s statement is so true - just because 200 (and it turned out to be 110) click on it, doesn’t mean they read it. The “chief” thing was good, too.

By the way, you’re a lawyer, aren’t you, Terry? If you’re doing all this blogging and link posting, when the hell do you have time to practice law? Believe me, just doing this single post took some time on my part. I can’t imagine the time you’re spending on this! I mean, I salute you if you’re getting both done, but I would question if they are indeed both being satisfied thoroughly. Not to mention anything else in your life. Is your practice suffering because of time spent doing this, versus helping clients and researching cases?

I also agreed and liked twotap’s comment - when he first clicked on the Flintoid Forum he thought the whole damn thing belonged to you! Ouch! Now that one had to hurt!

Kevin also said, “Just for fun, read the first two responses on the very first page of this thread.” I did so and was totally shocked! Hail to Biggie9, whoever that is! That’s exactly what I’m trying to say here! Discourage you, Mr. Bankert? Not at all. Making you see that most people are put off by this type of thread than not - that’s my point.

Okay, Terry, now it’s my turn. You said yourself, “I have smacked at you so I am not crying foul, what goes around comes around.” Good. Because it’s coming around. Right now.

BANKERT: Evidently my democratic liberal good government anti nra ,pro gun control position may have ticket someone off........OOOPSIE DAISEY!

FLINT8: Even with the many punctual errors, I think I can make out what you’re saying here…..I think. Are you implying that I’m that someone? The someone who is “ticket” off? Believe me, Terry, I know very little about your beliefs and opinions. I tried sifting through your links and comments to find them, but kept nodding off.

BANKERT: THEY ARE INTENTED TO BE (these posts being too long). WHY TO AVOID TROLLS AND GIVE MY PERSPECTIVE ON BREAKING NEWS, MOST OFTEN.

FLINT8: Huh? Does that even make sense? You want to avoid “trolls” and draw in the people who like to read long, drawn-out posts that have a hundred links? Okay, so now someone has to click on each link and read each story. Then they have to go back and read each one of your responses. Then, before they respond, they have to do that a hundred more times. Isn’t there a faster way? Do these people (your small following) have like the entire day to spend clicking and reading and posting and doing it all over again? That’s a very dedicated following, Terry. Keep all three of them.

BANKERT: NO, THEY HAVE A LOT OF STRUCTUTURE. I USE A MINIMUM OF FOUR SOURCES, THE FIRST IS USED AS AN OUT LINE, EVERYTHING IS CITATED. I ADD MY OWN COMMENT TO 25% OF THE PARAGRAPHS AND USE THE TOOL OF A SATERICAL HEADLINE WRITER TO INTERJECT MY OPINION. THE RESULT IS A ESSENTIAL A REVIEW OF HOW THE MAJOR MEDIA OUTLETS COVER NEWS YOU WILL READ THE NEXT DAY. BUT YOU WOULD ACTUALLY HAVE TO READ THEM TO KNOW THAT.

FLINT8: I do read them. Other places. That’s all of our points - why are you posting them again? Do what most people do - pick a topic and comment on it. Then you’ll get responses (if it’s good). No one’s saying, “I wonder if Iraq is testing bombs - hey, I’ll go to Flinttalk and sees what Bankert has to say.” However, your response came from my “there’s no structure” comment. Maybe “structure” was a bad word. Would “layout” be more understandable? Come on, Terry, admit it - it’s all over the place. Forget (and just for the moment) that it’s too lengthy. There’s no paragraphs, no spacing, bad punctuation, the links are all bunched up, nothing is real clear and concise. It’s a mess!

BANKERT: MY INTENT IS TO EDUCATE AND TRAIN, BUY A COMIC!

FLINT8: Educate and train? On what? How to be ambiguous and completely confusing? I believe, and again I could be wrong here, this forum is for the exchanging of ideas and opinions - not for education and training! By the way, I haven’t bought a comic in years, but definitely would be more entertained by one then reading your thread. And isn’t this forum supposed to appeal to people on-line, not shun them off?

BANKERT: (to the comment: To me, your posts are incredibly monotonous because they are so long. Who has the time to read them? Who sticks with them?) YOU MUST NOT READ THE NEW YORKER

FLINT8: Wow, what a response! Keeping this post to the shorter version of incredibly long, I’ll say this: No, I don’t read the New Yorker. Once again, it’s a hidden-meaning statement, and I don’t get it. I’m sure it has merit. Not to mention a dig in there. The publication must have incredibly monotonous and long, boring columns. So your response, Terry, brings me to the question your mother asked you when you were eight - if a New Yorker jumped off a bridge……..?

BANKERT: ITS A WRITING STYLE YOU DO NOT APPRECIATE, BUT IT DOES EDUCATE, EVERTHING NOT MINE IS CITED AND LINKED TO DRAW YOUR OWN CONCLUSION.YOU HAVE A RIGHT TO NOT LIKE, I FEEL YOUR PAIN...

FLINT8: Educate? Again with the “educate”? Let me educate you, for once - you certainly do have a writing “style.” That much is for sure.

BANKERT: THEN DO NOT READ THIS THREAD GOOD MORNING FLINT.

FLINT8: Good conversation and exchanging of ideas like this make this thread fun to read. It brings out opinions and ideas in people, even if they don’t agree with ours. This thread has never had that, except, as Kevin pointed out, on the very first page. Rest assured, without this type of conversation, I will not (nor will most other people) attempt to decipher this stuff.

BANKERT: THIS IS THE LINK TO THIS POST
http://flinttalk.com/viewtopic.php?p=31771#31771

FLINT8: There’s no way I think you’re serious on that one. Chalk only one point up (for the funny) for you.

The only thing I found myself agreeing with you on is, how we both thought it would be cowardly not to post to these direct questions and comments.

If you’ve heard nothing else, Terry, hear this. Most people here (in this forum) want to express their opinions. They want to engage in conversation. They want a give and take system. Your small following will soon become extinct if it’s an “all Terry educating and training and them just reading” format.

Finally, in all fairness, I won’t deny that Adam and a couple others from what I’ve seen do read this thread. And they respond. And for that, I say good for them. If they can stick through all the disorganized, chaotic, frenzied links and comments you’ve put out there, they’ve got more patience than me. And a hell of a lot more spare time.

I normally always spend 10 or 20 seconds skimming Terry's posts but I admit they seem a little long. You could link to articles within the post and you don't need to write a thesis about obvious stuff. The Michigan chiarman Saul Anuzis does a pretty good blog although he's also a little wordy and he's a little "neoconservative". http://migop.blogs.com/

YOU CANNOT PIGEON HOLE OBAMA AS A LIBERAL.

On Wednesday, Obama again bucked his liberal allies, voting in the Senate to give legal immunity to phone companies that took part in warrantees wiretapping after the Sept. 11 attacks. Critics chided Obama for the vote -- which put him crossways with dozens of Democratic colleagues, including Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York [1]
Obama's vote was not unexpected, as he had signaled earlier that he would back the compromise legislation. But the senator from Illinois found himself at odds with Majority Leader Harry M. Reid (Nev.) and Majority Whip Richard J. Durbin (Ill.), as well as three of his opponents for the Democratic nomination, including Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (N.Y.). [2]

2.THE CENTER IS NOT A BAD PLACE TO BE AFTER TWO PRESIDENTIAL TERMS OF THE CHENEY RIGHT WING AND POSSIBLE IDENTICAL FUTURE WITH MCCAIN

I don't think Bush qualifies as a right winger. He is a big government Republican who minus he right to life claims would have fit well with big government liberal democrats with his entitlement state expansion and his anti-constitution Leave Children Behind Act and his massive increase of the Federal Government. If you go by results Bush is to the left of Bill Clinton!!! Bush expanded government more than Bill Clinton!!! That is not Right Wing!!! We need to slash government not expand it like Bush!!!
